Develops a long tap root and dislikes being
disturbed.  Breaks dormancy very late.

'Asclepias tuberosa is loved by butterflies and humming birds.  It
produces tangerine-orange (occasionally red or yellow) clusters of tiny
flowers over a long period.  Deadheading will promote more blooms.  A
must for the butterfly garden!
