Bright yellow star shaped flowers are produced on compact plants of
sword-like shaped foliage.  Most flowers in this species are spotted,
'Hello Yellow', usually is not.  In the late fall tan pear shaped seed pods
open to reveal  clusters of black seeds looking much like blackberries.
Blooms for weeks in late summer.
