Other	Delphiniums are heavy feeders.  Amending soil with lots of compost and use of a granular fertilizer will produce stronger plants.  Short lived but may reseed.

Delphinium g. 'Summer Blues' is a little beauty that stands only 10-12" tall with nice compact bushy form and showy soft sky-blue flowers.  Blooms from early summer to fall in cooler climates, though this species is more heat tolerant than some.
