 Grown in too much shade and plants get
lanky.  Prefers average watering though can
be quite drought tolerant.  Dislikes heavy
clay soil.  To amend soil use small gravel,
bark or soil mix, do not use compost or other
rich organic matter.  Prefers poor soil.

G. 'Fanfare' is one of the most popular varieties today and it is
easy to see why.  Upward facing scarlet flowers flare out like
trumpets with bright yellow ends.  Blooms early summer to fall.  
This variety has a nice mounded form.  Easy to maintain, heat and
drought tolerant once established.
Asexual propagation of this plant is prohibited.
